Dr. Combs & Dr. Hubert
He/Him - She/Her
Dr. Combs always knew he wanted to be a veterinarian once he was old enough to know what a vet was. He started his veterinary career at the age of 14 bicycling back and forth to work in the kennel at Mesa Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Combs graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary Medical program in 1991 after completing his undergraduate degree in microbiology and veterinary science. After achieving his doctorate, he practiced in Golden for 8 years until he joined West Ridge in 1999. In 2001 Dr. Combs and Dr. Hubert purchased West Ridge from Dr. Emmet, and in 2007 bought Dr. Hemerson’s practice (Mountain Vista) and moved West Ridge Animal Hospital to its new and current location.
Dr. Hubert moved to Colorado in 1987. She was raised in Illinois and has a bit of a mid-west accent. Dr. Hubert joined the West Ridge team as a technician in 1999 until graduating from Veterinary School at Colorado State University. She has a special interest in orthopedics and has completed intensive post-graduate courses in fracture management and joint disease. Additionally, Dr. Hubert is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), utilizing techniques such as the use of the underwater treadmill and laser therapy. While she loves to work with dogs and cats, she does have a special spot in her heart for kitties and geriatric medicine. Dr. Hubert is also a past Weld County district representative for the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Combs enjoys snorkeling, gardening, and refinishing woodwork. Dr. Hubert prefers to tend her flowers and gardens at home. Together they love to spend time with their children in the mountains, their cats, birds, and dogs. A proponent of giving back to their community, the Combs-Hubert family volunteers with numerous local organizations including the Weld County Humane Society, the Greeley Children’s Chorale, the American Cancer Society, the Weld County Food Bank, and Pet Aid Colorado. Dr. Combs loves living in the little big town of Greeley. They like knowing people wherever they go and the fact that Greeley is a close-knit community with such a diverse culture.
