West Ridge Animal Hospital is excited to introduce you to our specialized pet rehabilitation services,
designed to enhance your pet’s recovery and overall well-being. Whether your furry companion is
recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic pain, or simply in need of physical conditioning, our
experienced and dedicated rehab team is here to help.
An initial consultation performed by either Dr. Hubert or Dr. Tanguay, and up-to-date rabies vaccination is
required to establish care by the rehabilitation department. The initial consultation includes a review of
past medical history, goal(s) establishment, a thorough orthopedic and neurologic exam, formulation of a
rehab plan with further recommendations, and treatment during the appointment We do offer a package
deal that includes the initial consultation plus three (3) rehab sessions as well, saving you money on each
individual rehab session.
Rehab appointments are held every Tuesday at West Ridge and are typically drop-off appointments. We
ask that patients be dropped off at the clinic between 8 and 10 am. However, we are always happy to
provide accommodation when needed (e.g. specific appointment times).
Rehab sessions include updating an exam and up to three treatment modalities, depending on the
patient’s need for that day. Modalities include laser therapy, acupuncture, VOM (Veterinary Orthopedic
Manipulation; performed by Dr. Hubert), therapeutic exercises, PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field)
therapy, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical
Stimulation), massage, underwater treadmill, PROM (Passive Range of Motion), stretching exercises, etc.
Rehab sessions can be purchased individually and we also offer packages of three (3) sessions giving
you an overall 22% savings.
Variations on a rehab session (depending on recommendations from our rehabilitation veterinarians) are
also offered. These include laser-only sessions, acupuncture-only sessions, laser + acupuncture
sessions, PEMF-only, and VOM-only sessions. For pricing information, please contact a rehab

Updated rehab examinations are required for patients who have not had a rehab session in 8+ weeks.
Medical conditions and exhibited symptoms can greatly change during this time frame and a review of
prescribed treatments is necessary to ensure appropriate care is given.
