About the Role
West Ridge Animal Hospital is searching for an energetic, confident, and amiable person to join our team in our Purrs and Paws Lodge boarding department. We are looking for a team member for a permanent, part-time position with a consistent weekday evening schedule—perfect for those looking for no mornings and no weekends.
Requirements
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet Care & Exercise:Â Move pets of all sizes and energy levels safely; provide exercise; care for a variety of species; and maintain a clean, tidy kennel area at all times.
Medical Support:Â Accurately administer medications to a variety of species, including pets with special medical needs.
Environment:Â Work in a busy, high-volume environment and maintain exposure to all weather conditions while exercising dogs and cleaning outdoor areas.
Operations:Â Operate computers, copy machines, and facility equipment (washers, dryers, and dishwashers).
Communication:Â Actively and confidently exchange information daily with pet owners, teammates, and veterinarians regarding animal care.
Requirements
Availability: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Weekdays PM only; no mornings, no weekends).
Physical Activity:Â Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push, pull, kneel, squat, and bend.
Age Requirement:Â Must be 18 years or older.
Experience:Â Preferred but not necessary. We will train the right person who wants to excel and grow in this industry.
Professionalism:Â A positive demeanor and a strong desire to build lasting relationships with pets and their owners.
