Dr. Travis Noto
Dr. Travis Noto was raised in Kenner, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, before attending Mississippi State University for a double major in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture and Biological Sciences. Before veterinary school, Dr. Noto participated in research in the fields of veterinary parasitology and catfish infectious diseases. Dr. Noto remained at Mississippi State University for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating in 2021. While in veterinary school, he participated in animal shelter demographic research leading to animal shelter surveys in 5 states including Colorado as well as becoming the inaugural epidemiology preceptor at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC. Dr. Noto is the recipient of the Dean’s Pegasus Award, which is the highest award given to a member of the graduating class. Following veterinary school, he moved to Colorado to pursue passions in avian and exotic medicine and surgery, internal medicine, geriatric care, and end of life care. Dr. Noto has many pets including a dog named Nutella, a cat named Toast, a red foot tortoise named Orlando, an ivory ball python named Tusk, and a Kenyan sand boa named Wakali. When not working, Dr. Noto enjoys wildlife photography, spending time cooking with friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
