Dr. Ashley Lauck was born and raised on a farm in Fort Morgan, Colorado, where she developed a deep love for animals at a young age. From as early as she can remember, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian to help both pets and the people who love them—and she is grateful to now live that dream every day.

Dr. Lauck earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University in 2018 and then went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at CSU in 2022.

Following graduation, Dr. Lauck volunteered for a week in Fort Peck, Montana, providing free surgeries, vaccinations, and medical care to pets on the reservation. This rewarding experience reinforced her passion for veterinary medicine. In 2024, she completed advanced training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, including spays and prophylactic gastropexies.

In her first few years of practice, Dr. Lauck has continued to expand her passion for surgery and, much to her surprise, developed a strong love for emergency medicine. She enjoys the fast-paced environment and the controlled chaos of never knowing what the next case will be, often managing multiple patients at once. Dr. Lauck finds it deeply rewarding to support pets and their families during these stressful and emotional moments.

Outside of work, Dr. Lauck enjoys spending time with her two Saint Bernards, Decker and Dozer. Her hobbies include running—she recently completed her first half marathon and looks forward to more—playing volleyball, being outdoors, and tackling DIY projects. She is a huge Harry Potter fan and is most days fueled by Dr Pepper and Nerds Gummy Clusters.

Dr. Lauck’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is that no two days are ever the same, allowing her to continually learn and grow as both a doctor and a person. She is grateful to be part of the West Ridge Animal Hospital team and looks forward to serving the Greeley and surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality care for years to come.
