Dr. Lauren Wiles

Dr. Wiles was born and raised in Colorado. Following her honorable discharge in the United States Marine Corps, she returned home to earn a Bachelors in Neuroscience from the University of Colorado. She then supervised a Forensic Toxicology laboratory in Boulder for nearly 5 years, and testified as an expert witness over 70 times in courtrooms throughout Colorado. Inspired by an enduring passion for caring for animals, she left forensics to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University.

Dr. Wiles believes in fostering the human-animal bond and enjoys empowering pet owners through education. She approaches all of her patients with kindness, empathy, and curiosity. Dr. Wiles is passionate about science-based medicine and lifelong learning. Her special clinical interests include preventative medicine, endocrinology, behavior (she is Fear Free certified), dermatology, pain management, and compassionate end-of-life care.

Outside of work she enjoys playing video games, gardening, listening to audiobooks, and spending time out at the barn with her horse or snuggled on the couch with her rescue dogs.
