Dr. Kirsten Asher
Dr. Kirsten Asher was born in Colorado Springs and moved all over the world as a child in a military family. She's always felt a strong connection with animals, and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age. In Jr. High and High School, she began shadowing in veterinary clinics which fueled her love for the field. Throughout her undergraduate career at Colorado State University, she worked as a veterinary technician in a general practice hospital, and volunteered with the Pets Forever program in Fort Collins. This experience sparked her love for helping people by caring for their fur babies. Dr. Asher went to veterinary school at Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. During that time she found her passion for small animal emergency medicine while working at a local emergency and referral hospital. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking with her two pit bulls, Denver and Nora. Her cat, Russell, is the master of the house and keeps the dogs in line. Dr. Asher moved back to Colorado in June 2022 to join the West Ridge Animal Hospital team. She is so excited to serve the members of the Greeley community and continue to build her skills in emergency medicine.
