Marta, CVT - Hospital Director Marta has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 1991. She is the past President of the Colorado Association for Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT) and stays involved with the organization. She joined the West Ridge family in November of 2001. She has known and worked with Dr Combs and Dr Hubert for over 16 years. She is currently the Hospital Director at West Ridge and loves every minute of it. She is always up for a challenge and enjoys learning something new every day. She is married to Bob and has two beautiful children, a boy named Daulton, age 8 and a girl named Jordyn age 18 months. They are her pride and joy! Her pets include three dogs, two labbrdors named "Nala" and “Hunter” and a CRAZY Weimaraner named "Natasha". She also has a cat named "Taboo" and two paint horses, "Bounty" and "Miracle". When time allows (ha-ha), she enjoys training and riding horses, outdoor activities, and playing with the kiddos.
Carla - Inventory Manage, Employee Benefits Manager Carla joined the West Ridge family in October 2000 and is very proud that she is the longest continuously employed staff member here. She was hired as a receptionist, but has since held the titles of Front Manager, Financial Manager, and Inventory Manager (sometimes all at once). Even though she is squeamish, learning about animals, their medical problems and veterinary treatments are a passion of hers. Customer service is very high on her list of priorities and she is always genuinely happy to help our clients. In fact, now that she works more behind the scenes now, she misses seeing all the clients she's met through the years. Carla lives here in Greeley with her husband, two rambunctious young sons and a smooth collie named Jake. Whenever possible, she and her family head to the mountains to hike and/or camp. When Carla has free time (what's that?!), she loves photography, reading, posting to her blog, and keeping up with her scrapbooks.
Audra - Client Care Coordinator Audra is a Colorado native and grew up in a rural area south of Denver. Her entire childhood she spent time caring for animals at her house. She remembers having an interest in animals from a young age and decided to study biology in school. Audra graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005 with a bachelor of science in Organismal Biology and a minor in Psychology. Her main emphasis in the biology department was animal behavior. Her career in the veterinary industry started while she was getting her degree at UNC. She had started as a receptionist at another local veterinary hospital and fell in love with the atmosphere of a vet clinic. Audra lives in a house with her boyfriend and four pets: Cryptor, a 1½ year old Italian Greyhound; Bronx, a 11 month old boxer; Isis, a 3½ year old Manx cat; Jello, a 1 year old Calico kitten; and Puck, a 6 month old "foster" kitten.
Victoria - Animal Care Coordinator Victoria has been with the Animal Care staff at West Ridge since 2004. She is currently attending CSU and majoring in Psychology. She always goes above and beyond when it comes to the animals. She loves them as they were her own. She enjoys reading, sleeping, watching movies and spending time with her family. She has a bird, a St. Bernard, a kitten and two Guinea Pigs. She could never work anywhere but West Ridge.
Danny - Maintenance Danny has been a part of the West Ridge family since 2003, and we quickly learned that he can fix anything! If you want something done right, you can count on Danny. No matter how small or how big the situation he is always ready to help out with a smile. He has many children (too many to count), a bull dog, a border collie mix and a Conure. He enjoys coaching wrestling, and spending time with his family.
Jeremy - Webmaster Even though he only officially joined the West Ridge family in 2005, he has been helping Carla and the staff with computer issues since 2000. He currently creates the newsletter, keeps our website updated for us, and helps with technology questions. In his "spare" time, he goes to school full time to be an accountant, works from home via the internet, has a Fantasy Football League, raises two rambunctious boys; Hayden (4) and Asher (2), and watches two toddler girls. Other than that, he enjoys hiking, camping, politics, computer-fixing and anything stereotypically male (think power tools, etc.).

Nikki S., CVT Hi my name is Nikki. I am a certified veterinary technician. I graduated from Colorado Mountain College. I am continuing my undergraduate in animal science at CSU in hopes to become a veterinarian. I have 3 Saint Bernards and 3 cats; Mr. Bo Jangles, Colonel, and Toby. I also have several cows. I have been working as a CVT at WRAH for 4 years.
Nicki P. My name is Nicki. I have been in the veterinary world since 1991. I am the technician supervisor here at West Ridge, and work side by side with Dr. Combs. I love working at WRAH, have been here for 5 years and see myself here for many years to come. I share my life with many creatures including many birds, rabbits, lizards, tortoises, dogs, cats, tarantula, and guinea pigs. My purpose for being on this planet is to be an advocate for the animals. Help any animal that crosses my path, in any way that I can. Their lives are my life. To help their lives be healthier and happier through educating owners on proper care. To work at an animal hospital that has the same beliefs as I. Work side by side with an educated exotics vet, for exotics are my passion. If I can heal, comfort, raise, release back to the wild, help one person understand their pet, or make an animal smile, each day, then my reason for being is complete. My favorite things to do in any spare time I may get, is to hang with my animals, spend time with nature in the mountains, watching hockey and movies. My motto is "Anything for the creatures"!
| Jennifer, CVT Hi my name is Jennifer. I am a certified veterinary technician. I graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology. For the past seven years I have been working with the behavior aspect of dogs and am now interested in combining my knowledge with the medical side. | Kristina G o My name is Kristina and I am 23 years old (going on 24!). I am an under-grad student at UNC, working on my bachelors degree in Biological Sciences. I’ve worked as a kennel attendant at West Ridge for almost a year and I LOVE it! It’s great working with animals all the time. I was born and raised in Colorado (and all over Colorado). My favorite place is Boulder because most of my family lives out there. I hope to move to Hawaii and work at a veterinary hospital out there after I graduate because I desperately need a change of scenery. But I will miss all of the dogs, cats and people I’ve gotten to know during my time at West Ridge! I think that working here has helped me to grow as a person and even helped me get to know myself more than I had before. It’s a wonderful place and all of the people here truly do care about the best care for every animal that comes through our doors and tit is truly an inspiring place to work! |
